How Local Margin works
Getting started takes a few minutes
Early access opens in waves from the waitlist, so every member gets enough good deals. When your wave opens, setting up takes three steps.
- 01
Tell us what you sell
Pick the categories and brands you want and the ones you avoid, your price range, and how fast products should sell. You can change any of it later.
- 02
Connect your Amazon seller account
You approve the connection on Amazon's own screen. It lets us check what your account can sell, send your orders into Amazon and show your store's numbers. You can browse deals before you connect, and disconnect whenever you like.
- 03
Choose your plan
One monthly plan. Add a card for your orders: it's only held when you order, and charged once we've bought the goods.
Your Deal Feed: deals that find you
Your Deal Feed is a list of products you can buy through us and sell on Amazon at a profit, picked for your store. You don't search for them. They arrive, already checked.
Every deal answers four questions before you see it
Can I sell it?
Checked against your own Amazon account, so you don't see products you aren't approved to sell.
Is it the same product?
The same item, in the same pack size and format as the Amazon listing, so a single is never priced against a six-pack.
Does it sell?
How many sell on Amazon each month, how many sellers compete for it, and whether Amazon is selling it too.
Is it profitable?
Your profit and return after Amazon's fees, prep, shipping and our price, so what you see is what you keep. It's worked out from Amazon's current price, so it's an estimate, never a promise.
Ranked for you
The deals most likely to suit you come first, and your feed learns from what you save, pass on and order. The more you use it, the better it fits.
Everything you need to decide
Open a deal to see its price history, sales, competition and fees side by side, with the Order button right there.
What's still available
Each deal shows whether it's available, held in someone's cart, or sold out, and roughly how many are left.
Your views and alerts
Save the filters you use most, and get an email when new deals match them.
Ordering takes a few clicks
Add deals to one cart, as many as you like, and check out once. You buy everything from Local Margin, so there are no supplier accounts, applications or minimums on your side.
One price on every product
Each product has one price, shown in full with prep and shipping before you order. Bigger orders get better prices, and card fees are on us.
Checked again at checkout
Stock and price are checked again the moment you check out. If anything changed, you see it before you pay.
Your card is held, not charged
When you place the order, the total is held on your card. You're charged only once we've bought the goods, and only for what we bought.
After you order, we do the work
We aim to buy your order within 2 working hours. Orders placed overnight or at the weekend are bought first thing the next working morning.
- 01
We buy it
We buy the goods from the supplier for you. Your card is charged for what we bought, and anything we couldn't get is released from the hold straight away.
- 02
Our prep partner gets it ready
The goods arrive at our prep partner, who counts and inspects them, then preps and labels them the way Amazon requires.
- 03
It ships to your Amazon store
The shipment goes into your Amazon account, and you can follow it until Amazon has checked it in.
You see every step
Each order shows when every step happened and what comes next, and you get an email and an in-app message as it moves. You buy from Local Margin, so you see our steps; the supplier isn't shown.

If we can only get part of it
You pay only for that part, and the order says so plainly:
Ordered 10, bought 6, 4 not chargedIf something goes wrong
Most orders go through as planned. When one doesn't, here's what happens, and in every case you hear from us straight away.
The supplier sold out
We buy what's left and release the rest of the hold. If we couldn't buy any of it, nothing is charged and the order closes.
The price went up
You're never charged more than the amount held. We either buy at the price you agreed or cancel that line, and you aren't charged for it.
Something arrives damaged, wrong or short
Report it on the order with photos, and we'll sort it out with you: a refund for those units, or another fix you choose.
You change your mind
You can cancel an order any time before we've bought it.
You're due a refund
It goes back to the card you paid with, line by line, with the reason shown on the order.
Seller Intelligence: what your store really earns
Seller Intelligence turns your Amazon account into plain numbers: what you sold, what Amazon paid you, what you spent on fees, and what you made.
Sales and payouts, kept apart
Amazon pays out about a week after a sale. Seller Intelligence shows what you sold and what's been paid out separately, so the two never get mixed up.
Fees and profit, by day, week or month
See where your money goes, and look back over earlier months and years.
Your winners and losers
Sales, fees and profit for every product, so you know what to buy again and what to drop.
Yours to take
Export to a spreadsheet whenever you need it. Every view shows when its numbers were last updated.
